Identities

An African childhood, afro-anglo education and upbringing, wide ranging life and work experiences from many years of living and learning from many different and diverse people in different continents and across hierarchies and functions in business, international organisations, personal, leadership and organisational development. All this leading me now to this present moment – in which I continue to seek out and to work at

  • finding (as well as supporting others to find) easier, inclusive, accessible, enjoyable and effective ways of meeting, thinking, working, learning and expressing ourselves, our work, and our lives meaningfully: as individuals – personally; and with others - together
     

  • creating shared, sustaining and sustainable, futures that we can value and benefit from intergenerationally

In practical terms this means that that I have turned up, worked at or sought to be experienced as being one or other of the following:

  • A mentor, advisor, consultant, and coach

  • An educator, tutor and learning designer-curator

  • A fixer, supporter, contributing co-worker, and delivery enabler

  • An occasional convener and networker, people connector, and friendly motivator

  • A systems and systems aware thinker

  • An educated financial, behavioural and institutional economist

  • A behavioural and occupational psychologist and knowledgeable business strategist

  • A business owner, marketing practitioner, people manager, team leader

  • A learning and reflection-enabling supporter and fellow learner

Personal identities…

  • An attentive sibling, parent, grandparent, partner, and personal confidant

  • A reflective and meditative practitioner

  • A listening, conversationalist and storyteller

  • A writer, poet and author

  • A curious creator, inquiring thinker and experimenter and initiator

  • A law, ethics, civics, rights, sustainability responsibilities advocate

  • An inclusion, equity, diversity openness and “transparency” advocate

  • A helping ally, accompanying fellow traveller and caring steward

  • A friend

  • A "patient" - always aware of being "in care and recovery"!
